Michael Wampler began his career in the mortgage industry in 2005 working for a bank and then later a local mortgage brokerage. Unsatisfied with the business models at both companies, Michael wanted to create a mortgage bank that would put the focus on his clients’ best interests. In the spring of 2008 he opened the doors to MJW Financial LLC, a lender whose main focus is customer service and satisfaction. Never involved in the sub-prime mortgage fiasco, Michael has always worked to create the best home buying experience for his clients. This has given him a wide referral base amongst many happy home owners and Realtors alike. With a wide range of specialties – from FHA to Jumbo loans and everything in between – he is the leader of the MJW Financial Team and has the necessary experience to get you from the initial application to the closing table without frustration. John Murphy started in the mortgage business in late 2009. From the start of his career, he has excelled in delivering awesome service and closing transactions on time. When he started in the mortgage business he made a decision to grow his business through relationships and word of mouth rather than mass advertising. Every single mortgage, no matter big or small, holds the utmost importance to him!
Chris Pisano came to MJW Financial after gaining real estate experience in the world of commercial real estate development. A Kelley School of Business graduate, Chris believes there are a wide variety of similarities between the world of commercial real estate and residential lending. “At the end of the day, you are making major things possible, with personal relationships at the forefront.” Chris believes that financing a home purchase does not to be an intimidating process and has a passion for explaining loan structuring to customers. Chris is an advocate of relentless hard work, transparency, and communication. In his spare time, Chris enjoys exercising, all things motorsports, and spending time with his German Shepherd Stella.
Nicole was born and raised in Bloomington, Indiana. After graduating from Indiana University, Nicole moved to Indianapolis to start her professional career in customer service and sales. Throughout her career she has focused on providing her clients with the highest level of service possible. Nicole will take time to thoroughly go over what to expect from start to finish. What sets her apart from most is that she will spend the time going over the pros and cons of every option all while allowing the guest to choose what they feel is best for them. Anthony was born and raised in Indianapolis. He attended Bishop Chatard High School and earned a division 1 wrestling scholarship at Central Michigan University. After graduating CMU with a degree in entrepreneurship, Anthony hopped right into the mortgage business. During his first two years, he met Michael and John. He fell in love with their business model and a few meetings later decided to take his talents to MJW Financial. “I’ve come to understand that it’s all about relationships and communication. After graduating from Ball State University in 2011, Dexter immediately started his professional career at the largest locally owned event security and guest services company in the state of Indiana. It was there he learned the importance of relationships in business and the attention to detail required to make clients truly happy. During his time there he worked his way up to Executive Vice President before deciding to make a career change. His drive to keep clients happy through building long-lasting personal relationships, and the attention to detail required to do so, are his two biggest attributes he plans to carry over into the mortgage business. Meet Will Jones, loan officer at MJW Financial Indianapolis. Though Will has called Indiana home for the past 20 years, he was born and raised in California. Attending Butler University where he played men’s basketball is what brought Will to the Midwest. Hoosier hospitality worked its magic causing Will to want to plant his roots in Indianapolis. Now he is helping others achieve their dreams of “home” by providing exceptional customer service throughout the loan process. Will’s goal is to build a life-long rapport with those he helps. “When it is all said and done, a customer shouldn’t feel like a customer. They should feel like a friend. Adrian came to MJW after moving to Indianapolis from New York City, where he worked in sales and commercial solar development for 10 years. Throughout his career, he has focused on outworking his competition and providing his clients with the highest level of service possible. He is originally from Indianapolis, and graduated from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University, where he studied accounting and finance.
John grew up on the north side of Indianapolis and attended Lawrence Central High School. He completed his undergrad work at the University of Southern Indiana and earned a Master’s degree from Indiana Wesleyan University. John is joining the MJW Financial team after spending the last fourteen years as an educator in both Lawrence and Washington Townships. His teaching experience includes two years as a substitute, six years teaching fourth grade, and six years teaching fifth grade. In every classroom experience, John always put relationships first; with his students, their parents, and his coworkers. He always valued getting to know each and every kid on a personal level and pushing them to reach their highest potential. John brings this same mindset to MJW Financial, putting a high priority on knowing his customers, making them feel comfortable, and getting them the loan that makes the most sense for their situation. John’s excited to get to know you, assess your needs, and make the mortgage lending process a smooth and easy one.
Nate was born and raised on the north side of Indianapolis. After graduating from North Central High School, he worked as an estimator for a local construction company. He later attended The Kelley School of Business – Indianapolis where majored in Accounting, Finance, and International Studies. He graduated from the honors program in the top five of his class, while working full-time. After graduating he spent two years at the largest public accounting firm in Indiana in their tax department. Nate’s existing relationships with realtors and within the local construction industry made for a great fit in residential lending. After a couple meetings with Michael and John, it was apparent that MJW Financial was his first choice and the rest is history. Through his prior professional experiences Nate delivers exceptional client service, high-level attention to detail, and dedication to every client. Whether it is attending closings, doing everything possible to close on time, or the personal touches like reaching out to ask if you have any questions, Nate Nelson and MJW offer an experience that is hard to come by in today’s mortgage lending market. Carrie McConnell grew up in Indianapolis, Indiana and attended Franklin Central High School. She spent 8 ½ years in the United States Army, later earning a degree in Human Resources Management from Harrison College. Prior to starting her career in the mortgage business, she worked as an admission coordinator in the healthcare industry. She loves the mortgage business because she gets to help people through such a big milestone in their lives.
Dawn started in the Mortgage Industry in 1996. Throughout the years Dawn has worked in many different aspects of the real estate/mortgage industry. Dawn found her niche in the operations side of the industry. She excels with helping other reach their goals. She has grown to become a successful loan processor and processing manager. The main focus is customer service and to create a successful work force. Setting goals, policy and procedures, and practices to provide guidance on improving data reporting to help build a more streamlined process.
Joyce Scanlon began her career in the financial industry in 2009 working in the lending department of a local bank in Central Ohio with a large focus on delivering extraordinary customer service and always being a trustworthy and reliable resource to clients and the community. She carried those values with her entering the mortgage industry in early 2012 where she has taken on various roles from loan processing, loan analysis and auditing, and the last two years with a concentration in loan closing a becoming a subject matter expert. As the last set of eyes prior to closing, she is dedicated to ensuring that we are always doing what it right for our clients!
Kyleene Vaughn graduated from College in 1992 with a Paralegal degree. In 1996 she chose to pursue a new career working in the real estate industry with a reputable title company in Anderson, IN. In 2001 she transitioned into the mortgage industry. Throughout the years Kyleene has worked in many different aspects of the real estate/mortgage industry. Her skills consist of researching real estate properties, processing FHA, VA, USDA & conventional mortgages, processing reverse mortgages and processing loan modifications to name a few. She was also a listing coordinator to one of Madison County’s top real estate agents in Anderson, In. Processing mortgages is where her heart is. She strives to help clients pursue their dreams of homeownership and helping to put them into a better financial position. Kyleene’s diversity makes her an asset to the MJW Financial team.
Donya McKinnon is a Hoosier native, from northwestern Indiana. She attended Ball State University and is the MJW Financial Marketing Director. Donya’s professional background includes Event Planning & Sales, Social Media Promotion & Marketing, and Education. Prior to joining MJW Financial, Donya earned her real estate license. In her free time, Donya is raising four kids, and enjoys Sommology.
Corinne Masters began her working career at a young age in the restaurant industry. With a strong work ethic and ensuring the client’s needs came first she quickly moved through the ranks to become a store manager by the age of 19. Corinne made the move to the mortgage industry in 2003, following in her sister’s footsteps. Bringing the same mentality over to the mortgage industry, Corinne grew to become a successful loan closer, processor, and quality control administrator. As a survivor of the mortgage bust, Corinne quickly embraced the changes to ensure her client’s needs came first and continues to apply this “Client First Attitude” to her position with MJW Financial.
